This is the second version of the ICT Training Needs Questionnaire developed by the authors.
It was completed by teachers in School Y.

ICT Training Needs Questionnaire

(Version Two)

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to :

1. Help you to think about your own skills and training needs in the area of ICT use.
2. Help in the planning of ICT training which is appropriate to your needs and current ability.

Even if you do not currently use ICT in teaching you should still be able to respond in a way which highlights your needs. Please be as honest as possible when replying to the questions.

The questionnaire will ask you about :

1. Your current level of confidence with ICT.
2. Your current level of competence with some specific ICT skills.
3. The ways in which you currently use ICT in classrooms.
4. The ways in which you currently use ICT in your subject.

PLEASE NOTE : The data gathered by this questionnaire will only be
used to compile information about the training needs of the staff.

Section 1

For each of the five following sections, please tick the ONE box which you think fits you best.

Section 2

In each of the following rows, please mark a number from 1 to 6 to indicate your level of competence with that particular skill or program. The numbers correspond to:

1. I don't know what this is.
2. I know what this is but have never used it.
3. I have used this occasionally but need more training to be competent.
4. I use this regularly and competently.
5. I use this confidently in teaching and in administrative work.
6. I am fully confident to teach others about this.
